These high quality impact crater pictures of Planet Venus are made by Magellan spacecraft. Venus is the second planet from the Sun, orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days with maximal elongation of 47.8°. Its orbit is the most nearly circular of that of any planet, with an eccentricity of less than 1%. In consequence of high pressure 96% CO2 atmosphere (= 93 atm) the mean surface temperature is about 460 C°. There are no craters smaller than 3 km, because of the effects of the dense atmosphere on incoming objects (The diameter of Arizona meteor crater in US = 1.2 km).

Vénusz képek, kráterek. A kráterek mérete óriási, mert kisebb kövek nem érik el a felszínt. Esthajnalcsillag fotók. Ez itt nem a szexuális tartalmú milói Vénusz. Mert ő a milói Aphrodité. Vagy nem ő. A  Vénusz bolygó igen kellemetlen hely, nagyon meleg van, a légnyomás akkora mint egy széndioxidos szódáspatronban és még tévét sem lehet nézni mert a televízió panelekből kiolvadna a forrasztóón. A vulkanológusok viszont erről a helyről álmodnak. Én is :)
